Cincinnati-Style Chili: Prepare as above, except omit sweet pepper, basil, and optional garnishes. Place the ground beef in a large pot and throw in the garlic. Cook over medium heat until browned. Add the kidney beans and black beans, mix and bring to a simmer.

Instructions to make Chili:

  1. Cook ground Turkey until done keeping it chunky, add to crock pot when done.
  2. Cut vegetables (bell pepper/onion) and add to crock pot.
  3. Cut and brown sausage in same pan as turkey, add to crockpot when done
  4. Add all canned ingredients to crockpot with 1 cup of broth, mix well.
  5. Add all seasonings, mix well.
  6. Cover crock pot with lid and set on high for 2 hours. Add remaining broth after 2 hours.
  7. Let simmer on high for an additional hour, stir. Then adjust temperature to low for an additional 2 hours.
  8. Add corn starch slurry to thicken chili. Use a little at a time. "Eyeball"
  9. Serve hot topped with cheese and Greek yogurt or sour cream and sliced green onions.
