Squid Masala Curry, Sotong Curry or Kanava Masala, Koonthal Curry is easy masala curry made with squid or sotong in onion-tomato gravy. This squid curry is Andhra style so it's on spicy side. I didn't ate myself this squid masala but really got good review for it and that too when I cooked it first time and. Add garam masala and curry leaves.

  1. Heat pan and pour some oil.once the oil is hot add the snouf/peeumjeerakam and then add the onion,ginger garlic paste, green chillies and saute.
  2. Once the onion becomes rose add the chilli flakes,chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala etc to it
  3. Add the tomatoes and saute it then add the squid to the masala and mix well.close the lid and cook for about 15 min.
  4. Open the lid and mix well and keep it under low flame to remove excess water and make it a thick masala.add curry leaves and serve hot.

Cover and cook in low flame, until squids are cooked through; that is when they turn soft and not rubbery. Squid curry is a deliciously spicy and aromatic dish that goes well with rice. This is a yummy seafood curry from Southern India. A super quick and healthy Indian-style curry with squid rings, burst tiny tomatoes and lots of fresh Indian flavor, served with a rice. Marinated squids sautéed and further cooked in a spicy masala.
