  5. Add the marinated chicken and saute for 10-12 mins. Cover and cook well.
  6. Add the kasoori methi and garam masala powder. Mix well.
  7. Once the gravy reaches the desired consistency, turn off the stove and add the freah cream. Mix well.
  8. To give a roasted fragrance to the curry, in a small bowl, heat a piece of coal. Place the bowl carefully between the gravy. Add a tbsp of ghee to the hot coal. Immediately cover the dish with a lid for 5 mins.
  9. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.

It gets its lovely, distinctive flavors from the tangy tomatoes, yogurt, and smoky kasuri methi (dried fenugreek) added to its gravy. This can be made as hot or mild as you like so it suits most palates. It goes great with butter naan, roti or even with jeera rice. It is similar to the north Indian or punjabi murgh makhani or the Butter chicken. But there are variations in making both the dishes.
